The Biennale Images Vevey returns for three weeks with the theme ‘(dis)connected,’ exploring the intersection of unavoidable nostalgia and curiosity about an unpredictable future.
Farah Al Qasimi’s solo exhibition, Poltergeist, was previously shown at C/O Berlin. This installation revisits the 1982 film Poltergeist, which portrays a house haunted by malevolent spirits. Through a combination of photographs and videos, the installation parodies the strangeness of contemporary domestic spaces.
The exhibition layout and design have been adapted by Images Vevey and the artist. It is produced by the C/O Berlin Foundation with support from the K.S. Fischer Stiftung and curated by Kathrin Schönegg.
